Key Geometric Formulas & Principles
Geometry is the study of space, shapes, and boundaries. Here are the core intuitive concepts:
- Circle & Pi ($\pi$): $\pi \approx 3.14159$ represents the ratio of any circle's circumference to its diameter. That's why $C = 2\pi r$ and $A = \pi r^2$.
- Why Triangle Area Divides by 2: Any triangle is exactly half of a parallelogram or rectangle with the same base and height! That's why Area is $\frac{1}{2} b \times h$.
- Cylinders & 3D Prisms: The volume of any uniform 3D shape is simply the Base Area multiplied by the Height. For a cylinder, that's $(\pi r^2) \times h$.
